I am a volunteer data science mentor in Clarusway IT BootCamp. I need to explain the course structure to be able to explain my role in the Bootcamp. This BootCamp is an intensive period for 9 months. In the BootCamp, there are 15 live lessons in a week in 4 days. Addition to this, in 2 days there are live task solutions and teamwork sessions. In that BootCamp, Trainees are getting lectures with regards to Data analysis and Data Science. In the Data Analysis Module, they are learning data cleaning, data exploration with python libraries such as Pandas, Numpy. For data visualisation, we are teaching Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly as Python libraries and Tableau as BI Tool. We are teaching SQL queries for data analysis. In the Data Science Module, They are learning Supervised learning algorithms such as regression, KNN, Random Forest, XGBoost and for unsupervised learning algorithms such as clustering methods. In the Deep Learning module, they are learning introductions to neural network layers such as ANN, CNN for image classification and RNN implementations for time series forecasting. In the NLP module, we are teaching Lemmatization, Stemming, word clouds, sentiment analysis. In the last module, they are learning Streamlit and flask for deploying their projects. So, What am I doing in that structure? Firstly, I got that intensive course, so I have done lots of projects with those tools. After the course, I am providing technical guidance and mentoring to the new students. I am assisting them if they do not understand any subject in the course. Also, I am guiding them if they get stuck while they are doing their projects. I used to be involved in volunteer projects so it is not a new concept for me. I was lecturing math in disadvantage suburbs in South Africa. Participating in voluntary projects does not mean giving one-way, you also get lots of contributions to yourself. So, I think involving this project will take me one step further.
