I'm a current grad student at Carnegie Mellon who is excited to work on data science and tech projects that can responsibly improve processes and capacity-constraints in the 'social good' space. My core background is in public policy research, having worked at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) for around 5 years. At J-PAL, I worked on several projects with state government partners, using admin data to scope studies, identify improvements to quality/documentation, produce and present analyses to department staff, and other tasks in the research-to-policy pipeline.
My Master's course is helping me build on this foundation of cleaning and analyzing 'real world data' by developing my skills in data science and tech. I'm looking for opportunities to concretely apply the modelling and prediction methodologies I am learning about through my classes in computer science and statistics.
