Hi,
I am a Senior Data Scientist , and have strong data engineering and ML modeling experience, mainly in the Consumer Sales space. In my current role, I am leading a team of 3 data scientists, and working on propensity and price modeling for online sales team. I am heavily involved in the end-to-end ML lifecycle of all my projects right from the scoping phase through development, testing and deployment.
I have always been quite focussed on my work projects, and have rarely ventured out of this in my career. I have recently been thinking a lot about how data is everywhere, and how we can make a difference if we try to take the time to take a closer look at it with the lens of social good.
I want to find a place where I can dedicate some of my time to work on something non-profit and at the same time, put the skills I've learned to use in a new domain, which will keep me excited. When I came across the volunteering opportunity with DSSG , this seems like a great fit .
Please reach out to me if you want more information on the specific projects I have worked on.
Overall my technical toolbox includes most of what a typical Data Scientist would be expected to have : Python, SQL, HIVE, PySpark, Python data wrangling packages(numpy, Pandas), Python ML packages (including scikit-learn , Tensorflow, Keras, etc).
I would really appreciate if you take the time to consider if my skillset can be a good match to your existing projects.
Thanks, Shirley
