Hi everyone! I'm Matt! I recently obtained a Masters in Statistics from Stanford and have just started a new job as a Data Scientist in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to this I've worked on a range of projects ranging from imaging, electrophysiology, and experimental analyses for a medical research lab looking at novel treatments for mental health disorders to developing machine learning algorithms for automatically extracting information from textbooks to support new intelligent pedagogical tools. I am grateful to have had the opportunities to become educated and work in this field and am looking for opportunities to give back with my time and effort. I think there are a lot of opportunities for data science to make a positive social impact and am excited to be a part of these efforts! I've done prior work in the health and education fields, but am looking to help out with any project where an extra person is needed to put in the hours.
