I am Amanuel, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Addis Ababa University and a business owner based in Dubai. Over the past several years, I have managed Shining Cleaning Service FZ LLC, where I oversee operations, team coordination, and service delivery. This experience has strengthened my ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and design practical solutions — skills that naturally led me toward data analytics.

I am actively developing my technical capabilities in Power BI, SQL, Python, and Azure, and I am building a structured GitHub portfolio to demonstrate my progress. My interest in data science is driven by a desire to use analytical tools to solve real problems, especially those that affect communities, social systems, and public well‑being. I believe that data, when used responsibly, can help organizations make clearer decisions, allocate resources more effectively, and create measurable social impact.

My motivation for volunteering with Data Science for Social Good comes from a commitment to contribute my time and growing technical skills to projects that matter. I am particularly interested in initiatives involving public services, community development, operational improvement, or any project where data can reveal insights that improve lives. I value collaborative work, structured problem‑solving, and learning from experienced practitioners, and I see DSSG Solve as an ideal environment to grow while contributing meaningfully.

I am available 3–5 hours per week and can begin immediately. Through this volunteer experience, I hope to strengthen my analytical abilities, contribute to mission‑driven projects, and gain exposure to real-world data challenges that support social good.
