I am currently pursuing an MS in Statistics at American University, with a background in Family Science and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science. My academic and professional interests are centered around using statistics and data science to address real-world problems, particularly in public health, health services, social services, and sports analytics.

I have experience working with R, tidyverse, ggplot2, SQL, Quarto, Git/GitHub, Excel, and data visualization, along with statistical analysis, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and regression modeling. Through my graduate coursework and independent projects, I have worked with real-world datasets and developed reproducible analytical workflows.

I am particularly interested in projects involving public health, healthcare utilization, health disparities, social services, education, and community outcomes. I also have a strong interest in sports analytics and have developed NBA statistical projects involving player performance, scoring, workload, and injury risk.

I am volunteering because I want to apply my statistical training to problems that have a meaningful social impact while gaining experience working with real organizations and multidisciplinary teams. I am especially interested in opportunities where I can contribute to data cleaning, exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, visualization, quality assurance, and communicating findings to non-technical audiences.

My goal is to contribute meaningfully to projects while continuing to develop my skills as a statistician and data analyst. I am also interested in learning from other volunteers with more experience in applied statistics, data science, and project work.

I am open to both short-term and longer-term projects and would particularly value opportunities where I can take ownership of a meaningful portion of the analysis and contribute to a project from data preparation through final results.
