I'm Samarth Arora, a third-year B.Tech Information Technology student at GGSIPU Delhi with a GPA of 8.92, and I'm writing to express my interest in volunteering with Data Science for Good. My work spans machine learning, NLP, computer vision, and full-stack AI systems — and I've been fortunate to apply these skills in real, high-impact settings. At DMRC, I built an HRMS RAG Chatbot serving 15,000+ employees that reduced document search time by ~70%, and a Flutter-based facial recognition attendance system deployed org-wide across all DMRC offices achieving 99%+ accuracy. At the Microsoft-AICTE Edunet Foundation program, I built a full ML recommendation pipeline across 5,000+ OTT titles improving recommendation relevance by ~18%. Beyond internships, I've shipped projects like InnerBloom — a mental wellness platform for teenagers integrating rPPG-based stress detection, AI peer-matching, and psychologist portals, which placed 8th at HackWithIndia among 100+ teams — and ATLAS, a multi-agent AI business intelligence platform that won 3rd at DTU BrAInwave 2.0. I've also led as AI/ML Co-Lead at GDG BPIT, personally mentoring 200+ students through workshops and hackathons. Across all of this, what's driven me most isn't the tech itself but the tangible difference it makes — whether that's 15,000 employees finding HR answers faster, teenagers getting mental health support, or small businesses accessing insights they couldn't afford before. Volunteering with Data Science for Good feels like a natural extension of that instinct: using the skills I've spent years building to work on problems that genuinely matter. I'd be deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute.
