Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the Volunteer Data Analyst position. With a background in organizational leadership, financial management, and data-driven decision-making—complemented by my experience at Ernst & Young—I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to your data initiatives and support impactful outcomes through analytical insight.
My professional journey began with AIESEC, a global youth-run organization, where I held several leadership roles including Branch Manager and Vice President for Finance. In these roles, I regularly worked with performance metrics, budgeting tools, and operational dashboards to guide strategy and decision-making. I led a team of 52 members across six departments and helped our entity win five national awards, including Best in Finance and Best Overall Chapter—reflecting strong planning, data utilization, and performance tracking.
Currently, I work at Ernst & Young (EY), supporting clients in various sectors including healthcare, banking, and technology. This role has sharpened my analytical and reporting skills through client-facing engagements, audits, and consulting assignments. Additionally, I have earned a badge in Data and Information Strategy, which has enhanced my ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and apply insights to business problems.
I also volunteer under EY Ripples, where I develop mentoring content for youth programs focused on sustainability, education, and career readiness. My work requires regular analysis of participant feedback, progress tracking, and impact reporting—skills that align closely with what a volunteer Data Analyst role demands.
I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a cause-driven organization through data. I believe in the power of evidence-based insights to shape decisions, measure progress, and ultimately drive positive social change.
