Hello! I am currently a student studying math and computer science, and I have been trying to get involved in projects that have a clear intention of doing social good. I am particularly interested in education and social influence, mainly how people form their opinions and how social networks influence that. I worked previously at the NIH developing a neural network model for cancer risk prediction, and also interned with a professor at Carnegie Mellon trying to understand social network activity around midterm elections (looking at echo chambers, users that serve as "bridges" between communities, etc.). My upcoming internship is about the spread of disinformation. On this platform, I would like to explore projects, learn more about how math is used in projects for social good, and also hope to pick up some new technical skills along the way. Thank you, looking forward to it!
