I have about 4 years of experience applying machine learning to real life problems in business. My range of experience spans from management consulting, social research and statistics to data science. I have experience implementing machine learning techniques like segmentation, regression modelling , classification and time series forecasting as well as designing Dashboards for Business Intelligence. Currently pursuing my second masters in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from University of Birmingham, I possess knowledge in applying analytics to several business contexts using data cleaning/transformation, relational database management, visualization and story boarding and model building/optimization. I have developed data-driven insights & solutions for clients in industries like Retail, Ecommerce and Pharmaceutical with customer centric solutions on projects like customer churn/upsell/segmentation/cross-selling, market basket analysis, forecasting, capturing marketplace prices, driving customer conversion rate.
Prior to pivoting in the data science industry, I used to work in the social impact sector as a researcher with expertise in quantitative and qualitative research , survey tool design, applying quasi-experimental research designs to social problems. With my first masters in Social Work from Christ College, India, my education gave me the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders in government offices, NGOs, UN organizations and civil society. Doing social good has always been embedded in me and I want to extend my analytical skills using data science to create a positive impact in society. Coming from both the social sector and being relatively new to the data science industry, i am enthusiastic about the convergence of the two fields to see how the power of technology can be used to promote sustainable development goals.
