I am a recent graduate with two Master’s degrees, one in Data Analytics from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and my most recent Master’s degree from Illinois State University in Information Systems focusing on Cybersecurity. My undergraduate degree was in Computer Science from Illinois State University.
I am currently working on a certification in Power BI, and will be attending the Open Data Science Conference in Boston, MA in April 2024.
My relevant coursework in data mining, advanced database concepts, statistical computing, big data analytics, machine learning, and server management has provided me with a strong foundation in data analysis. I have experience with programming languages such as SAS, Python, Java, R, SQL, and using natural language processing and data visualization tools.
In addition, my previous work experience as a Graduate Assistant and STEM Tutor honed my ability to communicate effectively with people without an IT background. I am confident that I can independently solve difficult problems and deliver high-quality results to senior stakeholders.
In my most recent Master’s capstone project, I worked in a team to create a new website for a local small business owner. Through that and other projects I have gained valuable skills in collaborating with stakeholders and users to understand their requirements.
I am always eager to learn and stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and methodologies to enhance a team's analytical capabilities.
