I recently graduated cum laude from California Lutheran University (CLU) with a bachelor's in Computer Science, a journey fueled by my unwavering passion for technology and data. During my academic pursuit, my motivation was not solely centered on achieving academic excellence but also on leveraging my skills to make a meaningful impact through volunteering. As a student, I diligently honed skills that I knew would not only excel academically but also readily transfer into the world of volunteering and contribution. My extensive experience with Python, including libraries such as NumPy and Pandas, and machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, was not just about excelling in coursework but was driven by the prospect of leveraging these tools to address real-world challenges. Throughout my academic journey, I realized that data-driven decision-making is a powerful tool for positive change. I acquired hands-on experience in analyzing and presenting data using SQL, Statistical Data Analysis, Hypothesis Testing, Regression Models, and the implementation of supervised and unsupervised learning models. Moreover, I have taken the initiative to work on building recommendation systems, NLP models, and dashboards through Tableau, as demonstrated in my portfolio (github.com/malaika-n), with the intent to contribute to the tech community and society at large. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to volunteer in an environment that thrives on innovation, where I can contribute my skills and passion to assist businesses in succeeding on their terms. This opportunity represents a continuation of my journey, where I can apply my knowledge and motivation to drive change and make a lasting impact. I look forward to learning more about the position and am confident that the combination of my experience, skills, and unwavering motivation will make me a perfect addition to your team, providing a strong professional foundation for me to excel in my volunteer role.
