My name is Onabajo Monsurat and i am interested in volunteering at any company that focuses on research, opensource or healthcare.

I would love to join the data science/data analyst team and enjoy a professional work environment where I will be able to make a difference in the world by contributing to helping people through the innovative use of data.

I have worked on varieties of data science projects. I have a solid programming (python and sql) skills, outstanding data wrangling and visualizations capabilities and excellent communication skills that allows me to accurately communicate my findings and suggest solutions to often complex problems.

Recently I interned as a data scientist for Outreachy at ModECI - Model Exchange & Convergence Initiative ( Outreachy is a highly competitive internship organization that focuses on introducing individuals to open source. Out of thousands of people around the globe that applied for the internship in dec 2022 - march 2023 cohort, I was among the top 65 interns that was chosen to intern with them.)

During my internship, I was able to use data I got from different sources to suggest and add new features in order to improve the functionality of the open source library. I was able to collaborate with researchers, neuro scientists, software developers amongst others in other to improve the open source library. I was also able to test the library to check its compatibility with other libraries and see if it was working as expected, which made the preparations for the release of MDF version 0.4.4 smooth and on track.

Despite working remotely, I delivered excellent work and presentations. I am very disciplined and always submit my tasks before deadlines. As a result, I always receive praises from my bosses which gives me great confidence in my abilities and makes me confident that I will be a great asset to any company i volunteer in.
