We are building a rules-based eligibility model for Prosecutor Initiated Resentencing (PIR) in California, a 2018 “second-look” legislation that enables prosecutors to revisit old cases and propose revised sentences to the court. Our work aids attorneys in streamlining and reducing manual labor in the eligibility evaluation process.
